Lunch On Us

Sharing with the community

Each Monday and Wednesday at 11:30, the Presbyterian Church of Ruston PCUSA provides FREE Sack Lunches to the community.

Responding to God's grace with open hearts, open minds, and willing hands, we are called to be a community of faith sharing God's love through Jesus Christ.

Special offering to be taken for Texas flood relief

A special offering will be taken the next two Sundays – July 20 and July 27 – for Texas floor relief.  If you would like to contribute and wish to write a check, make it to the Presbyterian Church of Ruston and write “Texas flood relief” in the memo line. Cash can also be given.

We are planning to send the donations to the First Presbyterian Church in Kerrville, Texas, for their disaster assistance programs. FPC Kerrville served as a reunification center and shelter for residents displaced by the disaster, and also is involved in a number of community outreach programs.

There are also other ways to help. Mo-Ranch, the Presbyterian Church USA camp and conference center Hunt, Texas, just down the road from Kerrville, needs gift cards (VISA, Master Card) so staff who live on the ranch can begin to replace items they lost to the flood when their houses were damaged.

Some for the staff housing is in the lower-lying areas of the camp. If you would like to send a gift card, please get it the church office we will get them to Mo-Ranch.

We’ve also posted links to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Mo-Ranch, and two animal organizations that are seeking to find lost pets and reunite them with owners. Kerrville Pets Alive is also honoring the lives of all deceased pets that are found.
